Objectives
The principal objectives of the Society are:-
To provide an organisation for all those interested in selling and sales management, marketing, retail managment and international trade;
To provide practical advice and services on matters connected with the above fields;
To offer students and members the opportunity for career advancement;
To protect the professional interests of members;
To encourage the formation and development of group centres and to affiliate with kindred organisations, societies and institutions;
To formulate uniform standards of professional practice and conduct;
To exercise supervision through a disciplinary committee over members and to take such action as is necessary and desirable to safeguard the interests and professional standards of members;
To secure for members such professional standing as may assist them in the discharge of their duties.
